Notes:
1. On the map in the book, only what is now known as Little Long Pond (in Seal Harbor, town of Mount Desert) was labeled “Long Pond”. The other pond known today as Long Pond (towns of Mount Desert and Southwest Harbor) was labeled “Great Pond”.
2. The “Great Heath” in Procter (1946) is the area near Northeast Creek, not the heath in the southern portion of Southwest Harbor.
3. Synonymy needs verification.
