Finn O’Connor

Ecologist

Finn graduated from College of the Atlantic in 2024 with a BA in Human Ecology (with a focus on botany, community ecology, and visual arts). Since starting at COA, he has worked on inland and coastal wetland assessments, studied habitat/seabird colony interactions on Maine islands, field-assisted on a handful of long-term forest monitoring projects, and staffed the college’s herbarium. He is currently taking time off between his undergraduate degree and a graduate degree to get more field experience, explore, and (theoretically) to rest. When not in the field, he is generally found outside regardless, whether gardening, hiking, canoeing, or making art.
